Sandy Stauffer is a member of the music education faculty at Arizona State University, where she teaches undergraduate courses in general music and graduate courses in creativity, qualitative research, and the psychology of music teaching and learning. She coordinates the graduate programs in music education at ASU, and the summer music education courses, including the Kodály and Orff Levels classes. Sandy presents workshops and clinics throughout the United States and abroad. Her studies and writing about children and young people as composers can be found in several journals including The Orff Echo. Sandy is also an author for the latest edition of the Silver Burdett Making Music textbooks, and she has collaborated with composer Morton Subotnick in the development of his creative music software for children.
