The Harmonious Classrooms for Joyful Learning Saturday, August 23, 2025 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Session Description:Experience SEL-centered, trauma-informed strategies for joyful classroom management with Orff process lessons, visuals, folk dances, pop songs, folk music, and pieces from the Volumes. Our time together will be focused on practical use-it-tomorrow activities and a time of reflection for our teacher spirits. Don’t forget your recorders!

The Orff Process is Write! Using the right Children's Literature and Poetry In the General Music Orff-Schulwerk Classroom Saturday, April 18, 2026 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Session Description:
Using Children's Literature and poetry as a starting point, participants will engage in the Orff-Schulwerk process of imitation, exploration, and creation using movement, body percussion, speech, recorder, and the unpitched/ pitched percussion instruments. The application of literature and poetry to a beginning band or orchestra class will be highlighted and several Kodaly-inspired connections will be made. |
