Learn to incorporate physical, artistic, and dramatic play into your classroom to help students strengthen these skills. Experience songs, games, and stories that nurture imagination, build group awareness, and encourage joyful music making—where the goal isn’t perfection, but connection.

Session Description: Connect verbal, physical and mental activities to pave the way from vocalizing to internalizing rhythm and melody. Explore composition using word chains, songs and storybooks. Create a musical mission statement for students to have a more positive understanding of classroom expectations. Speech, singing, movement, and instruments combined all lead to students realizing their goals!

Session Description:Strong instrumental work doesn’t happen by accident—it grows from intentional exploration, guided creation, and well-sequenced teaching. In this workshop, we’ll spend a lot of time at the barred instruments. We’ll begin with improvisation and play and move toward layered ensemble pieces, modeling how to teach and transfer each skill along the way. Discover strategies for introducing parts, shaping technique, supporting success for all learners, and elevating your students’ musicianship. Expect hands-on playing, fresh ideas, and a process you can take straight back to your classroom.
